The story
The game is set in a world of colossal creatures called Titans. Entire civilizations live on their backs, drifting through an endless sea of clouds. You play as Rex, a young salvager. He teams up with a mysterious being called a Blade, named Pyra, along with her other form Mythra. Together they journey to reach Elysium, the paradise atop the World Tree. However, the Titans are slowly dying. As a result, the clock is ticking on the world they carry.

This is where the upgrade earns its name. The game now runs at 4K in TV mode and 1080p in handheld. Both modes hit up to 60 frames per second, with smoother and sharper cutscenes. Gameplay
Combat is party-based and real-time. It pairs human Drivers with their Blades. Meanwhile, the new edition adds those directly controllable Blade squad battles into the mix. You collect and bond with Blades, and you take on Blade Quests. You also explore huge open regions spread across the backs of the Titans. In short, it is a deep, generous adventure. It can easily run well over a hundred hours if you let it.
Why Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is worth watching
Three things stand out here. There is the jump to 4K and 60fps, the new Blade and squad mode, and the included Torna upgrade. As a result, this is comfortably the definitive way to play this RPG.
