Two Point Museum expeditions hold the real danger, not your galleries. Jurassic World teaches fences, but here you spend on staff training.

Coming from Jurassic World Evolution, your first instinct here will be containment. You will look at a hall full of dinosaur skeletons and start thinking about fences. Two Point Museum expeditions are where the actual danger lives, though, and it is nowhere near your guests. Two Point Studios released the game through SEGA on 4 March 2025, and the bones on your floor cannot bite anybody. Your staff, on the other hand, can absolutely be lost.

Jurassic World trains you to protect the guests

Frontier’s park builders drill one lesson into you above all others. Danger is inside the fence, and the fence is your job.

There are four fence types rated from two to five. Level three fences run on electricity and need constant power, while a level five fence needs none. Unhappy dinosaurs attack those fences to get out, and a powered fence that loses its supply also loses its Security Rating, which is how escapes begin.

Once something is loose, guests become the problem. Rampaging dinosaurs threaten them directly, so you open Emergency Shelters near the animal to reduce the threat and protect your Incident Prevention and Safety Ratings. Safety Rating itself measures how well the site uses those Shelters during escapes and dangerous storms.

Even your response is architectural. A Security Camera that spots a dinosaur threatening guests calls a Capture Team to tranquilise it, provided that camera has power and a patrol team. Consequently you learn to think in buildings, coverage and electricity. Everything that keeps people alive is something you placed on the map.

Two Point Museum expeditions move the risk outside

Now look at what a museum actually contains. Skeletons, oddities and frozen cavemen simply stand there, so no exhibit is going to eat a visitor.

Trouble inside the building does exist, but it targets your property rather than your people. Golden Molers dig up through the floor, Boggymen come and go through the bathrooms, and ordinary thieves disguise themselves as guests before stealing or vandalising something. You answer with security desks near entrances and exits, guards, and chairs that watch a chosen area. Cameras help too, although they make detection easier rather than scaring anybody off.

The genuinely dangerous screen is the expedition map. A dangerous Event out there can inflict an Injury, an Illness or a Curse on a randomly chosen member of your team. Worse, a Dilemma has an outcome you cannot see in advance, and it can send somebody MIA. Untrained, underlevelled staff can vanish outright, and wild plant life eats some of them alive.

Mitigation looks nothing like a fence. Flying, first aid and hazard handling all reduce the chance of a bad result. Survival Skills can negate a dangerous Event completely. On top of that, some Dilemma choices only appear when a team member already holds the matching Skill, and those options are usually the safe ones.

Where to move your budget

First, train before you decorate. In a dinosaur park your money buys walls, whereas Two Point Museum expeditions turn staff training into your real safety spending.

Second, build the team for the destination rather than sending whoever is free. A generalist crew meets Dilemmas with the good answers greyed out, and that is how people vanish.

Third, downgrade security in your head from life safety to property protection. Guards matter, yet losing an exhibit is an insurance problem, not a body count.

Finally, read every Dilemma slowly, because a Skill you left at home often hides the safest route. If counter-intuitive resource advice appeals to you, so will Splatoon Raiders Loot Farming Guide: Why Higher Difficulty Doesn’t Give Better Rewards. Builders should also enjoy Necesse vs Stardew Valley: Why Their Villagers Change Everything. The museum itself sits on its Steam store page.

Frequently asked questions

Can you lose staff on Two Point Museum expeditions? Yes. A bad Dilemma can send a team member MIA, and untrained staff are the most likely to disappear.

Do security cameras stop thieves? Not really, since they make detection easier rather than deterring anyone. Guards and well-placed desks do the actual catching.

What reduces expedition risk the most? Training. Flying, first aid and hazard handling cut bad outcomes, while Survival Skills can cancel a dangerous Event outright.
