The TEAM VISION run at TI 2026 has reached the Grand Final, and somehow nobody has managed to beat them in a full series yet. Their road through Shanghai has included wins over defending champions Team Falcons, Team Spirit twice, BoomBoys and now Team Yandex.
VISION beat Yandex 2-1 in the upper-bracket final to become the first team through to Sunday’s Grand Final. They are now one series away from the Aegis, and the way they reached this point makes them very difficult to bet against. This did not come from one lucky playoff run either. VISION have been winning since the Group Stage started.
Beating Team Spirit Twice Was the Moment Things Got Serious
VISION’s first win over Team Spirit came during the Group Stage, when both teams were still unbeaten. Spirit had opened TI strongly, but VISION swept them 2-0 and secured their direct place in the Playoffs.
The two teams met again in the upper-bracket semifinal, and this time Spirit made them work much harder. VISION won Game 1, Spirit hit back hard in Game 2, and everything came down to a deciding third map. VISION still found a way through.
Satanic finished Game 3 with 15 kills, while No[o]ne ended the deciding map with five kills and 28 assists against just one death. VISION won after 46 minutes and sent the two-time TI champions into the lower bracket. Beating Spirit once could have been explained as a great day. Beating them twice at the same International is much harder to dismiss.
Spirit’s Win Over Liquid Makes VISION Look Even Better
What happened next gives those wins even more weight. Team Spirit did not collapse after being sent into the lower bracket. They came back and swept Team Liquid 2-0 in an elimination series, knocking the TI 2024 champions out of the tournament.
That is important because it shows exactly what kind of Spirit team VISION managed to beat. Spirit are still dangerous enough to comfortably eliminate one of the strongest teams in Dota 2. Yatoro, Collapse and Larl are still fighting for what would be a historic third Aegis for the organization.
VISION have simply had their number so far. That may be the most impressive part of their tournament. They are not building an unbeaten record by avoiding the dangerous teams. They have gone straight through them.
Nobody Has Found a Way to Beat VISION Yet
VISION started TI 2026 by beating Team Resilience 2-1 before taking down defending champions Falcons by the same score. They then swept BoomBoys and followed that with the 2-0 win over Spirit that secured their direct playoff place. The main stage did not slow them down.
BoomBoys pushed VISION to three games in the upper-bracket quarterfinal, but VISION survived. Spirit pushed them to three in the semifinal, and VISION survived again. Then came Team Yandex.
Yandex had looked completely different once the Playoffs began. They swept Team Liquid and then came back from a brutal 74-minute opening loss to eliminate Nigma Galaxy from the upper bracket.
That set up one of the biggest matches of the tournament. VISION won 2-1. They have dropped individual maps, but nobody has finished a series against them. At this point, that distinction matters much more than having a perfect game record.
No[o]ne Said VISION Still Had Another Level
One of the more interesting comments around this run came from No[o]ne earlier in the tournament. He felt VISION were not even playing at their full potential yet. His view was that the team still had another level to reach, while also pointing to Satanic’s incredible form as one of the reasons they kept getting results.
Those words sound much more dangerous now. VISION were already winning when No[o]ne felt there was room to improve. Since then, they have beaten Spirit again and reached the Grand Final. There is also a huge amount of experience around Satanic.
No[o]ne has spent years playing at the top of Dota 2, while Puppey brings something almost nobody else can offer as a coach. He won the very first International with NAVI in 2011 and has now reached another TI Grand Final, this time from behind the players instead of inside the booth.
For Satanic, the story could not be more different. He represents the next generation of Dota 2, and he is now one best-of-five away from becoming a TI champion.
The Grand Final Is the Only Thing Left
VISION have already guaranteed themselves at least second place at The International 2026. More importantly, they can now sit back and watch the lower bracket decide who gets one final chance to stop them.
Team Yandex are waiting in the lower-bracket final, while Team Spirit and BoomBoys are still fighting for the right to meet them. Every possible opponent already has history with VISION.
They have beaten Spirit twice. They have already beaten BoomBoys twice during the tournament. And they just sent Yandex into the lower bracket. That does not mean the Grand Final will be easy. A best-of-five is a different challenge, and one great tournament can disappear very quickly if the final series goes wrong.
But nobody can say VISION have taken an easy road to get here. They beat the defending champions. They beat the two-time champions twice. They survived close playoff series and then beat one of their biggest title rivals to reach the final. The Team Vision run at TI 2026 now needs only one more win. If they get it, this unbeaten run will end with their names on the Aegis.
