The GTA 6 Leak Investigation appears to be getting much more focused. Take-Two has returned to court with another request aimed at Discord, but this time the company wants important details kept away from the public while it continues searching for the people behind the recent gameplay leaks.
At the same time, GTA 6 fans are still finding new details without leaks at all. One discovery connects Lucia’s reported actress to GTA Online years before GTA 6 was revealed, while another may point to a very unexpected Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 reference hidden inside Rockstar’s official footage.
Take-Two’s Search Is Getting More Targeted
Take-Two reacted quickly when unreleased GTA 6 gameplay began spreading online in August. Its early legal requests reached Discord, Microsoft, X and YouTube as the company tried to identify where the footage came from. The latest request looks much narrower.
Take-Two says it has identified one additional Discord user and gathered more information about another user already connected to the investigation. It also wants more specific information about Discord communities mentioned in its earlier request. The company has asked the court to keep the details of this new subpoena sealed.
Take-Two argues that revealing exactly what investigators now know could warn the people it is looking for. Someone who knows they are being targeted could potentially delete accounts, hide evidence or change how they communicate.
The company describes the investigation as fast-moving and ongoing. That does not mean Take-Two has found the GTA 6 leaker, but it does show that the search has changed since the first broad requests.
Take-Two Has Dropped Its YouTube Request
Another development makes the investigation even more interesting. Take-Two previously wanted Google to provide information connected to several YouTube accounts that had links to leaked GTA 6 footage. The company has now withdrawn that request.
Take-Two told the court it no longer needs the particular information it originally wanted from YouTube. It did not publicly explain exactly what changed, and it can still return with another request later.
There are several possible explanations. Investigators may have received useful information somewhere else, or the YouTube accounts may no longer be important to the direction of the investigation. For now, we simply do not know. What we can say is that Discord appears to have become a bigger focus while the YouTube request has moved out of the picture.
The Investigation Still Has a Long Way to Go
It would be easy to look at the new filing and say Take-Two is finally closing in on Cyberleek. That goes further than the evidence allows.
Take-Two has new leads and wants more information, but no court filing has publicly identified the person responsible for the original GTA 6 footage. The new Discord request was also submitted with a request to keep it sealed, so much of what Take-Two now knows remains hidden.
A lawsuit could eventually follow if investigators identify the people responsible, but these current requests are part of the information-gathering stage. Rockstar, meanwhile, continues preparing GTA 6 for its November launch.
Fans Found a Very Different GTA Online Connection
While Take-Two searches for people spreading unreleased footage, GTA fans have been digging through something completely legal: the old GTA Online content already sitting in front of them.
Players recently noticed that Manni L. Perez, the actress widely believed to play Lucia, previously worked on GTA Online. Perez provided voice work for blackjack dealers in the Diamond Casino & Resort update.
That means GTA Online players may have heard her voice years before Lucia became one of the biggest characters in gaming. There is an important limit here. Rockstar still has not officially announced GTA 6’s full cast, so Perez should not yet be described as officially confirmed by Rockstar as Lucia.
The casino dealer is also not secretly Lucia. The interesting connection is simply that Perez had already worked with Rockstar before GTA 6. If Rockstar eventually confirms her casting, it would mean she went from voicing small GTA Online NPCs to potentially becoming one of Grand Theft Auto’s two biggest stars.
Fans Think Clair Obscur May Be Hiding in GTA 6 Too
Another discovery comes directly from the official GTA 6 Extended Look. Fans noticed a poster in the background of a scene involving a VR headset. The poster includes the words “Tenebrae Lux” and has led some players to believe Rockstar may be referencing Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
The theory comes from the light-and-dark meaning connected to the words and similarities fans see with Clair Obscur’s imagery. Rockstar has not confirmed the reference.

That means this should remain a possible Easter egg rather than a confirmed crossover or tribute. Still, it shows the difference between the current leak investigation and what is happening around Rockstar’s official marketing.
Take-Two is aggressively trying to stop people from spreading material players were never supposed to see, while fans are pulling apart the footage Rockstar actually chose to release and finding new stories inside it.
GTA 6 Is Producing New Stories From Every Direction
That may be the strangest part of the situation. Take-Two is going to court trying to discover who leaked unfinished gameplay. Rockstar is releasing polished footage on its own terms. Fans are searching GTA Online for old connections and stopping official GTA 6 videos frame by frame looking for Easter eggs.
The leak investigation remains the important story because Take-Two’s latest moves suggest the search is becoming much more targeted. But everything happening around it shows just how difficult GTA 6 has become to keep mysterious.
Take-Two may be tightening the net around the people responsible for the leaks. The fans, meanwhile, have no intention of stopping their own investigation into Vice City.
