Street Fighter 6 Yasmine is almost here. Capcom has confirmed that Yasmine, the first new fighter of the game’s Year 4 season, arrives on August 3, 2026. That is barely a week and a half away, and high-level gameplay footage is already circulating ahead of her debut.
She is a brand new original character rather than a returning veteran, and her kit looks like nothing else on the current roster.
Who is Street Fighter 6 Yasmine
Yasmine hails from the Philippines and fights with Eskrima, a traditional Filipino martial art she learned alongside her older brother. Her weapon is a karambit, a small curved knife that turns her into a relentless rushdown threat. She pressures opponents up close and rarely gives them room to breathe.
Her signature mechanic is a powered-up state called Bayani Mode. She enters it after landing certain attacks, and once it is active her follow-ups hit harder and combo further. Capcom’s Year 4 plan adds four fighters across the year: Yasmine this summer, Arjun in the autumn, then Final Fantasy VII’s Tifa Lockhart in early 2027, with World Tour rival Bosch closing the season in spring 2027. A guest star from Final Fantasy joining the Street Fighter roster is the kind of crossover that gets people talking.
