The GTA 6 Extended Look Netflix page in Portugal may have revealed more than Rockstar wanted. Fans spotted several placeholder listings that appeared to show runtimes of more than 20 minutes.
That immediately got people talking.
Rockstar has only described the August 27 presentation as an Extended Look, so nobody really knows how long it will be or what it will include.
The Netflix page now makes things a little more interesting.
Instead of looking like one short trailer, the page appeared to show several separate entries with long runtimes.
That does not mean GTA 6 is suddenly getting a full Netflix series.
These could simply be temporary placeholders while Netflix prepares the page.
Still, the timing is hard to ignore.
The Extended Look Could Be Much Bigger Than Fans Expected
Rockstar could have easily called this Trailer 3.
It did not.
The studio chose the name Grand Theft Auto 6: An Extended Look, which already made it sound like something longer and more detailed than the trailers we have seen so far.
If those Netflix runtimes are even close to the real thing, Rockstar could finally have enough time to properly show the game.
That could mean longer sections of Vice City, driving, combat, stores, side activities, or more time with Jason and Lucia.
It could also be split into different parts rather than one long video.
Again, none of that is confirmed.
The safest way to look at the Netflix page is as a clue, not proof.
But it certainly gives fans another reason to watch August 27 closely.
GTA 6 Fans Are Already Spending Big Before Seeing It
Rockstar also has another reason to make this presentation feel important.
Early buyers are already spending heavily on GTA 6.
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick recently said the $99.99 Ultimate Edition is selling better than the $79.99 Standard Edition during the early pre-order period.
That is probably because the people ordering this far ahead are the biggest GTA fans.
Still, it says a lot about the level of hype.
Players are already willing to spend $100 on the game before Rockstar has even shown a proper long-form gameplay presentation.
The Ultimate Edition includes extra vehicles, weapons, clothing, and other bonuses, which may be enough to push dedicated fans toward the more expensive version.
That makes the Netflix reveal even more important.
Rockstar does not really need to convince people that GTA 6 exists anymore.
It needs to show why this game is getting so much attention and why people are already willing to pay premium prices for it.
The Portuguese Netflix page may turn out to be nothing more than unfinished data.
But if those 20-minute placeholders are pointing toward the real format, GTA 6: Extended Look could be a much bigger event than anyone expected.
