The Marvel’s Iron Man Gameplay Leak has suddenly given fans their first real look at Motive’s long-awaited superhero game. More than two minutes of unfinished footage appeared online, showing Tony Stark flying through a city, fighting enemies in the air and on the ground, and using several weapons from his armor.
EA then did something unexpected. Instead of ignoring the leak, the official Marvel’s Iron Man account confirmed that the footage was real and teased that it still has much more to show.
Then Xbox joined the conversation with just three words: “We’ll be here.” After almost four years of silence, Iron Man suddenly has everyone paying attention.
Flying Looks Like the Heart of Iron Man
The biggest thing the leaked footage gets right is something an Iron Man game simply cannot afford to get wrong which is Flying. Tony moves quickly above city streets, flies between buildings and can drop directly into combat. The footage also shows him changing direction without making movement look slow or heavy.
That matters because Iron Man should not feel like a normal character with a flying button. His suit is built around movement. Motive appears to be designing the world so flying becomes part of normal exploration rather than something players only use during special missions. The footage is unfinished, so the final controls and animations may change. Still, the basic direction already looks promising.
Iron Man Can Fight in the Air and on the Ground
Combat also looks much more varied than simply firing repulsor blasts. Tony can attack enemies while flying and then quickly move into close-range combat. The leaked footage shows different weapons, including repulsors, missiles and heavier attacks.
Iron Man can also deal with vehicles and larger threats instead of only fighting normal soldiers. The interesting part is how naturally the game appears to move between flight and combat.
Tony can attack from above, land near enemies and continue fighting without the game feeling like it has entered a completely separate mode. That could become one of the biggest differences between Iron Man and other superhero games. Motive does not need Tony to fight like Spider-Man or Batman. It needs him to feel like a walking weapons platform that can also fly across the city.

Tony May Be Able to Change His Armor
Another interesting moment appears away from the fighting. The footage shows Tony working with his armor and apparently changing parts of the suit.
That could point toward some kind of customization or upgrade system. It would make perfect sense for Iron Man. Tony Stark constantly improves his technology, so upgrading armor could become a natural part of progression instead of simply unlocking stronger attacks from a menu.
Players may be able to change weapons, suit parts or visual details. For now, however, those possibilities remain speculation. EA has not officially explained how suit customization works, so it would be too early to claim players can fully build their own Iron Man armor. The leak simply gives us a reason to think the suit will change as Tony’s adventure continues.
This Is Motive’s Own Tony Stark
The footage also makes it clear that EA is creating its own version of Iron Man. This is not Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
There are familiar ideas, including shots from inside Tony’s helmet, but Motive has already said the game tells an original story. That gives the studio much more freedom. Familiar Marvel characters can still appear without forcing the game to follow an MCU movie.
The leaked footage also appears to show a S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier and several people connected to Tony’s world. That suggests the game could explore much more of Marvel’s universe than Tony flying around alone.
EA Basically Confirmed the Leak Immediately
The strangest part of this entire story may be EA’s response. The official Iron Man account admitted that things had not gone according to plan, but told fans that they now know the game is coming and that the team has much more left to show.
That response confirmed something important. The leaked footage is real. EA announced Iron Man in 2022, but the company has shown very little from the actual game since then. The leak suddenly changed that in a few minutes.
Players finally know what Motive’s version of Iron Man looks like in motion. EA clearly wanted to reveal it differently. But the studio’s response does not sound worried about what people saw. If anything, it sounds confident that the finished reveal will have much more to offer.
Then Xbox Showed Up
Xbox made the situation even more interesting. After the Iron Man account told fans it would see them when the team was ready, the official Xbox account replied:
“We’ll be here.” That is all Xbox said. The message should not be treated as confirmation that Marvel’s Iron Man is coming to Xbox Series X|S. EA has previously said its wider Marvel partnership will bring games to consoles and PC, but the company has not yet announced the exact platform list for Iron Man itself.

Still, Xbox replying publicly is hard to miss. At the very least, Microsoft clearly wanted Xbox fans to know that it is watching the Iron Man conversation too. And considering how much attention the leak has received, it probably will not be the last major gaming account to join in.
Iron Man Finally Feels Real
The biggest story here is not one weapon or one leaked scene. It is that Marvel’s Iron Man finally feels like a real game.
Fans have now seen Tony fly across a city, fight in the air, battle enemies on the ground, use different weapons and work on his armor. EA has confirmed the footage. Xbox has already jumped into the conversation.
There is still no release date, and players should remember that the footage comes from an unfinished version of the game. But after years of waiting, Motive’s Iron Man has gone from something fans knew existed to one of the most interesting Marvel games currently in development.
EA definitely did not plan to reveal it this way. The leak may have worked as marketing anyway.
