GTA 6 Trailer 3 does not exist yet. If you saw one this weekend, you saw a fake, and you are in very large company. Search that phrase on YouTube, sort by newest, and the top of the page fills with videos promising gameplay that Rockstar has never shown. Some are honest about what they are. Others are not.

What Rockstar has actually posted
Rockstar Games uploads to one official YouTube channel. Sorted newest first, its last three videos are a GTA Online heist clip from two weeks ago, the Grand Theft Auto VI cover art reveal from a month ago, and a GTA Online event video from three months back.
That is the whole list. There is no third trailer on it, and nothing about the game has gone up since the cover art.
The genuine Trailer 2 landed on 6 May 2025. It sits on that same channel with roughly 176 million views. Rockstar called it the biggest video launch in internet history at the time.
Hold those two numbers next to each other. A real Rockstar trailer does 176 million views. The clips currently carrying the Trailer 3 name are doing thousands, or a few hundred thousand at best. That gap is the simplest test there is.
How to spot a fake GTA 6 Trailer 3 in five seconds
The honest uploads tell you outright. One posted yesterday puts the word “Concept” in its own title, and its description calls it a fan-made concept video. Nobody is being tricked by that one, and the creator is not trying to.
The dishonest ones work differently. They borrow Rockstar’s vocabulary instead. Look at the words doing the lifting in titles like “Official Gameplay”, “Gameplay Leaked”, “Gameplay Reveal” and “Rockstar Games”, all stacked into a single line. Another simply says “Trailer 3 Leak”.
None of those words mean anything on a video someone else uploaded. So the test is short. If the title needs to tell you it is official, it is not. Better still, remember that you would not have to search for a real Rockstar trailer. It would find you.
The date that actually matters
Rockstar’s own site still lists 19 November 2026 as the release date, and that has not moved.
Meanwhile the next scheduled moment anything official could appear is Friday 7 August. Take-Two Interactive reports its first quarter results that morning at 8am Eastern, and it will be the company’s first update covering the pre-order window. Earnings calls do not produce trailers. However, they do produce firm statements, and right now firm statements are scarce.

Has Rockstar confirmed a third trailer? No. The studio has announced nothing, and its channel has posted no new footage since the cover art reveal.
Why do the fakes look convincing? Modern video tools produce clean footage cheaply, and the demand is enormous. So a mediocre fake still earns views.
When could the real one arrive? Nobody outside Rockstar knows. The nearest fixed date on the calendar is the Take-Two earnings call on 7 August.
