More GTA 6 Leaks could be coming after new evidence suggested the latest footage first appeared on dark web forums before it spread across social media.
The account linked to the material, known as Cyberleek, has already been connected to footage showing Jason playing basketball, driving and fighting. A possible full map of Leonida also appeared around the same time. Now the bigger question is whether the person behind the leak still has more GTA 6 material waiting to be released.
A screenshot shared online appears to show a post titled “Stolen GTA6 Footage” from an account using the Cyberleek name. The post was reportedly made hours before the clips started spreading widely on X and other platforms.
That suggests the leak may have started much earlier than most fans realized.
The Leak May Have Started Before It Went Viral
The new screenshot is interesting because it appears to show the same Cyberleek name attached to the earlier GTA 6 post. Other users can be seen commenting on the stolen footage and asking where the material came from. One reply also mentions seeing it on dark forums. That does not prove every claim around the leak is genuine, but it does make the timeline more interesting. The footage may have been shared in smaller communities first before someone pushed it onto bigger social platforms. That would explain why so much material seemed to appear at once. Cyberleek has also taken credit for the leaks and reportedly suggested that more could follow. If that is true, Rockstar may be dealing with more than one batch of stolen footage.
Rockstar Is Already Trying to Remove the Clips
Rockstar appears to be taking action against some of the leaked videos. Reports say DMCA takedown requests have started hitting social media posts that shared the footage. That does not automatically confirm every image connected to the leak. The alleged full map, for example, is still unverified.
But the gameplay clips are harder to dismiss. One video appears to show Jason playing basketball outside a house. The footage includes an on-screen tutorial and what looks like a Focus stat.
Another clip shows Jason driving before getting into a fight with another character. There are also visible HUD elements and rough-looking animations, which could mean the footage comes from an older build of the game.
That is important. Early development footage can look very different from what players eventually see at launch, so it would be a mistake to judge GTA 6’s final graphics or movement from these clips alone.
Cyberleek Says There Could Be More
The biggest problem for Rockstar is that Cyberleek does not appear to be finished. The account has reportedly hinted that more material could be released.

That makes the timing especially bad. Rockstar is preparing to show GTA 6: An Extended Look on August 27, and fans expect it to include much more gameplay and new details about Leonida.
Now there is a chance that more unofficial footage could appear before Rockstar gets the chance to show those things itself. That would turn this into a much bigger headache.
The first leak already appears to show small activities, driving, fighting and other details that Rockstar had not properly demonstrated yet. If Cyberleek has more footage, the next batch could reveal something much more important.
That could be new areas, missions, interiors, vehicles or other gameplay systems. Nothing like that is confirmed yet, but that is exactly why people are watching the account so closely.
The August 27 Extended Look Matters Even More Now
The leaks do not make Rockstar’s upcoming presentation pointless. In fact, they may make it more important.
A short leaked clip can show a feature, but it cannot explain how that feature works in the final game. Rockstar can show newer footage, explain the gameplay properly and clear up details that people are currently guessing about.
The same goes for the alleged map. Fans may have seen a possible layout for Leonida, but Rockstar can still show what the world really looks like, how large it is and how Jason and Lucia move through it.
That is why August 27 is still the date to watch. For now, the bigger concern is whether another leak appears before then.
If Cyberleek really does have more GTA 6 material, Rockstar could spend the next few days trying to control a story that keeps growing. And with the Extended Look so close, another major leak could spoil some of the surprises Rockstar has been saving for months.
