A Beast of Reincarnation leak has put Game Freak’s action RPG into circulation early. Copies started appearing over the weekend, days ahead of a launch that most coverage places on 4 August.
Kotaku traced the spread to the DODI Repacks Discord server, plus the r/Piracy and r/PiratedGames communities. Nobody has established how the files got out. However, several people point at the Steam preload as the likely route, because preloaded data sits on buyers’ machines before the unlock time.

Another on a high-end desktop reported 70 to 80fps on average at 4K, with maximum settings and quality upscaling.
That second report came with a complaint. The player found no frame generation option at all. For anyone planning to run this on a handheld, those are exactly the numbers a store page never gives you. So a piracy story has ended up answering the question buyers were actually asking.
Treat all of it carefully, of course. Anonymous users produced these figures on unknown settings, and pre-release builds often differ from the final version. Still, the reports line up with each other, and Kotaku’s report collected several of them.

Early leaks rarely dent sales much. This one also arrives with real anticipation behind it, because it marks Game Freak’s big step outside Pokemon. Meanwhile the studio ships on PS5, Xbox Series S and X, and Steam at once. So the PC build was always going to draw the most scrutiny.
The bigger risk is spoilers rather than lost revenue. Story details spread fastest in exactly these communities. Anyone avoiding them should tread carefully for the next few days.
