The GTA 6 PS5 launch times listed across regional PlayStation Stores could give players in New Zealand access to Vice City a full 18 hours before the United States. Sony’s New Zealand store currently lists Grand Theft Auto VI for 11:00 AM UTC on November 18.

That converts to midnight on November 19 in New Zealand, while the U.S. PlayStation Store rollout is currently listed for 5:00 AM UTC on November 19. That creates a huge window where players in some parts of the world could already be exploring Vice City while others are still waiting for their countdown to end.

New Zealand Is at the Front of the Current PS5 Rollout

The New Zealand PlayStation Store currently shows GTA 6 unlocking at midnight local time on November 19, which equals 11:00 AM UTC on November 18. Australia follows at 1:00 PM UTC, while Japan and South Korea are currently listed for 3:00 PM UTC. The rollout then moves through Asia, the Middle East and Europe as local clocks reach November 19.

Europe is slightly more complicated than some graphics circulating online suggest. There is not one single launch time covering every European country. A large group of Central European PlayStation Stores, including France, Germany, Italy and Spain, currently point to 11:00 PM UTC on November 18. That equals midnight Central European Time.

The UK, Ireland, Portugal and Iceland instead fall into the midnight UTC window on November 19. Several countries further east appear one hour earlier at 10:00 PM UTC. The United States and Canada are much later. Their current PlayStation Store window is 5:00 AM UTC on November 19, exactly 18 hours after New Zealand.

That also creates an unusual situation inside the United States. While it will be midnight on the East Coast, the same nationwide Store unlock works out to 9:00 PM on November 18 for players on Pacific Time.

Mexico and several Central American regions appear even later at 6:00 AM UTC, creating roughly 19 hours between the first and final currently listed PlayStation windows.

GTA 6’s Police Could Make Those First 18 Hours Even More Interesting

While players count down to those regional launch windows, Rockstar has also explained more about what they will actually experience once they enter Leonida. GTA 6 is changing the classic wanted system in a major way. Rockstar North’s Rob Nelson explained that committing a crime will not always immediately make police magically know who did it. Someone may need to witness the crime, report it or provide useful information first.

Police can then build a description using details such as the character’s appearance, clothing, vehicle and weapon. Rockstar calls part of this system “Heat,” and players may be able to reduce it by changing vehicles, getting rid of a known weapon, changing clothes or simply leaving the area police are searching.

That could make escaping the police much more tactical than simply hiding somewhere until the stars disappear. The system was explained by Rockstar during preview interviews in August, so it should not be treated as a brand-new September reveal even though fresh reports are discussing it again this week.

The wait is also producing some much lighter fan creations. LEGO builder hachiroku24 recently created a custom GTA 6 diorama featuring the game’s familiar logo and a Vice City-inspired action scene made from bricks. It looks convincing enough to resemble a real collector set, but it is completely fan-made. LEGO and Rockstar have not announced an official GTA 6 collaboration.

Together, the police details and fan projects show how much attention is building around GTA 6 as its November launch gets closer, but the regional PS5 timing remains the bigger story here.

These Times Still Are Not a Rockstar Worldwide Schedule

There is one important warning before planning launch night around these numbers. Rockstar has officially confirmed that GTA 6 releases on November 19, 2026, but it has not published its own hour-by-hour worldwide launch schedule. The regional times currently come from PlayStation Store listings, which means Sony or Rockstar could still adjust them before release.

The same timings should also not automatically be applied to Xbox. GTA 6 is officially coming to both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, but exact Xbox regional unlock hours need to be checked separately.

For PS5 players, however, Sony’s current listings give us the clearest picture yet. Unless those Store times change, New Zealand will enter Leonida 18 hours before the U.S. PlayStation Store unlocks, giving GTA 6 one very long launch day across the world.
