Like many other video games, Marvel’s Wolverine comes with pre-order voucher codes for PS5 players. The unique codes usually come from authorized retailers. Some of them are also available inside limited-edition hardware bundles for players who purchased the PS5 digital edition of the game. Valid codes are designed to unlock a few amazing collectibles, such as the Classic Brown Suit and Logan’s Reflective Claws. According to the latest report, many players are complaining that their Wolverine preorder codes are not working on PS5.
The Problem
Normally, after receiving the Wolverine pre-order codes, all you need to do is redeem them on your PS5 console. This involves visiting the PlayStation Store and pressing the triangle button. This action automatically opens the menu. In the menu, select Redeem Code and enter your specific code to enjoy the benefits that come with it.
Unfortunately, many players said the codes aren’t activating for them. When they try to redeem them, the system throws out an error message: “The prepaid card couldn’t be redeemed.”
When describing the issue, a Redditor said:
“I just received the code for my Wolverine pre-order bonuses and when I enter the codes in the PlayStation Store, it shows me the content but when I try to redeem it, it says that this voucher cannot be redeemed. Does anyone know why that is? Is it because the content has not been unlocked yet before the release date? Or did they send me a broken code?”
The report above was raised a few days before the release of Marvel’s Wolverine. As such, many people suggested that players should wait until the release of the game. Well, it’s been three days since Marvel officially released the game and many Wolverine players are still unable to redeem their pre-order voucher codes. This issue also affects some physical buyers.

How to get your Wolverine pre-order voucher codes redeemed
According to PlayStation, these codes are currently not activating because of an active PS Store problem. This issue is preventing the vouchers from being redeemed. As such, there’s currently no complete user-side fix yet.
If you must use your voucher code, we advise waiting for PlayStation to restore voucher redemption. Once restoration is sorted, start by signing out. Next, sign back in and try redeeming the Wolverine pre-order voucher code again. Another thing you can do is to check and confirm whether the Digital Deluxe upgrade has already added the pre-order items.
