GTA 6 Collector’s Box Costs $399.99 and Doesn’t Even Include the Game

The GTA 6 collector’s box costs $399.99, but anyone buying it will still need to pay for the game separately. Rockstar’s Goodtime State: Vice City Collection is a box of physical collectibles, not a bundle that includes a playable copy.

That answers the biggest question from the earlier store leak. Rockstar announced the collection on September 24 and confirmed that the game is sold separately. The price is about $400 before buyers have even chosen their copy of GTA 6.

What Comes Inside the GTA 6 Collector’s Box?

The set takes its theme from Macca the Gator, a character from a TV show inside Leonida. Its main figure stands six inches tall and has a hidden storage compartment in its base.

There are wearable items too. For example, Rockstar includes matte black Oakley Frogskins sunglasses with Prizm Sapphire lenses. A New Era snapback hat and a Leonida Keys crossbody bag are also in the box. These sit alongside smaller items rather than replacing them.

The official announcement also lists a Macca magnetic mirror, a Chunkee the Manatee shot glass, a swizzle spoon and a razor blade-shaped keychain. An enamel pin set, stickers and a double-sided souvenir poster complete the collection.

The poster includes the full Leonida map on its reverse. For fans who care more about exploring than branded clothing, that may be the most interesting item. It is another way to bring the fictional city into the real world, following Rockstar’s Vice City sign in Miami.

There is an important delivery detail, though. The store says the collection is available to ship from November 19, 2026. That is not a promise that every buyer will receive it that day. Delivery time depends on where the order is going.

Rockstar describes it as a limited-edition collection and says pre-orders are available while supplies last. However, regional availability varies. Its announcement says ordering details for Asia, Latin America and Australia will follow.

Rockstar Is Selling More Than a Place to Play

The box also offers an interesting contrast with Rockstar’s plans for the game. GameRant’s report describes the studio’s aim to make missions and free roaming feel connected. The merchandise takes another approach: selling souvenirs from a place players have not explored yet.

Still, that does not tell us how the finished game will feel. The debate over The Witcher 3 Remastered’s visuals is a useful reminder. A familiar name does not mean fans will agree on every choice.

Nor does the box settle questions about other platforms. GameRant separately reported former Rockstar developer Jérémy Hartvick’s concerns about adapting GTA 6 for Switch 2. Those are a former developer’s views, not confirmation of a Nintendo version.

For collectors, the decision is simpler. The $400 buys the listed physical items. So it makes sense to judge the box on whether those items are worth owning. It does not buy access to Leonida, whatever platform they hope to play on.
