Endless Legend 2 is, unarguably, one of the best 4X strategy games out there today. The game offers many amazing features—one example is its bonuses, such as the Ametrine bonus. The Ametrine bonus helps players boost global industry across their empire. On September 17, Amplitude Studios released version 1.0 of Endless Legend 2 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. This update features a new playable faction, one new minor faction, and two new rogue factions. It also comes with a few annoying bugs, one of which causes the Endless Legend 2 Ametrine bonus to be missing. There’s another one in which forests fails to provide the extra protection players need against ranged attacks.
What causes this issue?
After looking at different reports on Reddit, we discovered that these issues mostly affect users on the PC platform. The affected players mentioned that the Ametrine industry bonus is missing. The bonus stops working because it fails to appear clearly in the city figures.
According to many players, this issue basically started after the introduction of Endless Legend 2 version 1.0. When describing the issue, a Redditor said:
“The Ametrine industry bonus does not work and does not appear in empire or city screens. Great game!”
How to recover the missing Ametrine industry bonus?
If the Ametrine bonus is missing for you, only one thing is involved—you’re not looking for it the right way. According to Derek Paxton, an EL2 director, the Ametrine bonuses are working perfectly and they’re not missing. Instead, they’re only poorly displayed.
The Endless Legend 2 director proceeded by making the example below:
“For example, if you are getting +5%, you need to get at least 20 IND to see the bonus. And in that case, you will see +14 from districts +6 from the Town Hall, and a total of 21 instead of 20. That +1 is coming from the +5% from the Ametrine. I agree it’s not clear. We will check it out.”
This simply means that for a +5%, you need to have at least 20 IND to see the Ametrine bonus. For 20 IND, you’ll see +14 from districts and +6 from the Town hall. The +1 bonus from the +5% Ametrine adds to the 20 IND to make a total of 21, which you’ll see.
Apart from the missing Ametrine industry bonus bug, some users also reported that the terrain bonuses are gone in battles. They noted that forests and deposits are failing to provide extra protection against ranged attacks even though they cost 2 movement points. If you’re experiencing this issue, the good news is that the EL2 director also acknowledged the issue and noted that a dev is already investigating it.
