You can’t talk about the best next-gen action RPGs today without mentioning Aniimo. Many players favor it because it blends modern action-RPG team-building with immersive creature mechanics. One of the game’s highlights is Twining, a feature that allows players to form a spiritual connection with their Aniimo. But as amazing as the game is, it has problems, too. A good example is the latest “Server Select crash” issue, where Aniimo crashes on PC.
The Problem:
If you don’t know, Aniimo currently has three regional servers:
- Aniimo-America
- Aniimo-Europe
- Aniimo-Apac
As a player, server selection is important because character progress is directly linked to the regional server you choose. The bottom line is that each server has different character progress, which explains why choosing your preferred server is key.
Normally, if the Aniimo “crash issue” doesn’t occur at the server select stage, the normal progression is for the player to Connect > Load Screen > Enter Idyll > Character Introduction > Start adventure. However, with the annoying crashing issue, players are unable to commence the next-gen action RPG.
When describing the issue, a Redditor said:
“So it’s just released and it seems to not be working on Steam. I get as far as the Select region or server or whatever when the screen goes black then a picture of the lil otter guy appears in the middle with a loading thing then it just crashes.”
The player noted that he couldn’t get past the Select region. Once he gets to this part of the game, a black screen appears. This is followed by the appearance of a picture of the lil otter guy loading and thereafter, the game crashes. The player also noted that this issue affects several other players.
It’s worth noting that this issue doesn’t affect all players. Some users noted that the game works perfectly for them. A good example is @b2aze33, who noted that he has already “finished the first quest and is now in the base”.
How to fix the Aniimo Server Select Crash Issue?
The good news is that there’s a workaround that works effectively for this Aniimo “Server Select crash” issue. As noted by some affected players, disconnecting the Forza racing wheel from the PC will help you launch the game successfully.

When describing the fix, a player said he noticed that his wheel for playing Forza was the problem. If you also have this wheel, you can consider disconnecting it from your PC. This works perfectly for the player and a few others.
